Experience moments of bliss in the Valle Aurina winter wonderland

In the Valle Aurina, winter is the stuff of dreams - there's snow as far as the eye can see, and a multitude of ways to enjoy it. Skiing is, of course, the number one activity, and where better to hit the slopes than the Speikboden and Klausberg ski resorts. But the area is also perfect for cross-country skiing, tobogganing, snowshoeing, curling, ice skating, and ice climbing. All you have to do is take your pick—or simply while away the hours in the sauna!

White winter days, rosy cheeks and happy hearts.

Strap on a pair of skis – the mountains are calling! The slopes of the Speikboden and Klausberg ski resorts are practically on your doorstep. With over 80 kilometres of slopes, from easy to challenging, they are perfect for beginners, advanced skiers, and families alike. In addition, the famous Kronplatz is only a stone's throw away: the first lift in Reischach is only about 17 kilometres from Sand in Taufers and can therefore be easily reached in about 20 minutes by car. Our senior boss, Heini, is also a passionate ski instructor and will teach you the best turns in the snow upon request.

But winter here can also be quite different. If you prefer something more tranquil, lace up your snowshoes and trudge through snow-covered forests and across quiet alpine meadows. Or grab a toboggan and whizz down the slopes. For a real adventure in itself, cross-country skiing across the approximately 50 kilometres of trails is also a must. In the Valle Aurina, everyone will always find just the right mix of action and relaxation they need.

This is what winter
happiness looks like!

Attention, winter lovers: Whether you want to try out the wide slopes in the Speikboden ski resort or weave down the diverse ski runs on the Klausberg – the Valle Aurina has something for every mood and ability. Fresh powder snow in the morning, sunshine at the hut by midday, and a fast descent in the afternoon.

The duty to relax calls

After a day on the slopes or in deep snow, relaxation is a must. Head to the sauna, steam bath, or the waterbeds in the relaxation room to recharge your batteries. If you're up for it, why not try some yoga or a little meditation in the snow?
